You've had the thought.

Your Amazon numbers look fine. Sales are up. Nobody is panicking. And yet it seems like you haven't hit your ceiling.

Quotes
I can't tell whether our Amazon business is at the ceiling or the floor.

Quotes
My current agency hasn't tried anything new in two years.

02

Every quarter I feel like we're leaving money somewhere. I just can't point to where.

What we usually find.

What actually moves the needle.

01
Out of stock. Out of rank.
The algorithm doesn't wait. Most brands lose more rank to availability than to competitors, and the recovery cost shows up months later.
02
Discounts training customers
to wait.
Promotional cadence that feels normal often destroys margin and trains demand cycles you can't unwind.
03
Ad spend chasing vanity revenue.
Spend is not a strategy. Most accounts grow revenue while shrinking contribution margin and never see the trade.
04
The same catalogue in every market.
What sells in the UK isn't what should sell in the UAE or US. Most brands run identical assortments and leave money in both.
05
Resellers eating your margin.
Distribution leakage and channel conflict show up as compressed buy-box share, weakening pricing power, and brand erosion.
06
Amazon strategy ignoring your other channels.
Amazon doesn't sit in a silo. Pretending it does is how retail strategies break.
Quotes
Audits shouldn't be cosmetic. They should be commercial reality checks. Sometimes that stings. That's the point.

What we cover.

Ten commercial areas. Examined at the level your CFO would examine them.

  • Box
Instock strategy. Forecasting, supply chain flow, and protecting rank before it disappears.
  • Store
Distribution strategy. Who's selling your product, who shouldn't be, and how you regain control.
  • Globe
Catalogue by geography. The right assortment per market, by margin, demand, and positioning.
  • Coins
Pricing strategy. A pricing architecture that protects contribution margin. Not just competitor tracking.
  • Sale Tags
Promotional strategy. Whether your discounts drive incremental profit or just train customers to wait.
  • Funnel
Amazon advertising. Structure, intent coverage, incrementality. Whether ads scale profit or vanity revenue.
  • Line Graph with arrow going up
P&L to contribution margin. Revenue is noisy. We work to the line that tells the truth.
  • Amazon Logo
3-year business plan. Where Amazon can realistically take this brand. Modelled with clarity, not optimism.
  • Expand Arrows
Expansion strategy. New marketplaces and categories, stress-tested for commercial reality.
  • Shopping Cart
Amazon's fit in your retail strategy. How Amazon supports or cannibalises your wider channel mix.
If it impacts profit, control, or long-term brand value on Amazon, we look at it.

About Us

Why Etopia.

Asha Bhalsod spent four years inside Amazon, then built Amazon channels brand-side at Tomy UK and Melissa & Doug. She's sat in the chair you're sitting in now, and run the conversations you're running now: with your CFO about margin, with your board about channel mix, with your agency about whether they're earning their fee.

That perspective shapes the audit. It flags what's suboptimal in a way that makes sense given the rest of your business.

FAQ

Before you book.

We already have an Amazon agency. Is this still worth it?

Yes. Brands with an existing agency are the ones who get the most from the audit. Your current agency has no commercial reason to flag its own underperformance. Several past clients used our findings to renegotiate their existing agency rather than switch.

Is this a pitch in disguise?

No. Roughly 25% of audit clients never work with us afterward. The audit is priced to stand on its own.

How is this different from a free audit?

A free audit is a surface-level diagnostic. The 360 Audit is several weeks of senior time. It's designed to be useful to you even if you never speak to us again.

Is the audit done by software, or by people?

By people. Every finding is reviewed and signed off by the senior team. Tools support the analysis. They don't replace it.

Do you cover our category?

Yes. Current clients span home appliances, personal care, consumer goods, and beverage. We confirm category fit on the scoping call before accepting any audit.

What access do you need?

Read-only Seller Central or Vendor Central, your Amazon Ads console, and AMC if you have it. You can revoke access the day the audit delivers.

What if you find our current strategy is working?

Then we tell you that. You still walk away with competitive benchmarks and a documented view you didn't have before. We haven't yet delivered an audit with zero actionable findings, but the outcome isn't predetermined.

What happens to the report if we don't act on it?

It's yours. You can file it, share it internally, or use it to brief someone else. Etopia retains no ongoing rights.

How long does the audit take?

Four to six weeks from the day we have access and your intake form. You receive the report 48 hours before the readout session.

How much does an audit cost?

Audits start at £5,000. Factors like number of markets, dual vendor/seller, or unusually complex catalogues can influence the price. We quote a fixed price before any engagement begins. No billable-hours structure.
